About The Position

Responsible for fostering a safe, motivating, and supportive environment in the context of the Drop-In Center. Provides peer-oriented individual and group supports, recreational and leisure activities, and opportunities for socialization and building natural supports for persons with mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders. Works with team members to implement programming based on participant-driven needs and ideas. Encourages and models the philosophy of recovery and empowerment through CRSS (Certified Recovery Support Specialist) principals.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
CRSS (Certified Recovery Support Specialist) credential.
Experience working with persons with psychosocial rehabilitation services, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, and/or development disorders preferred.
Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, holidays in accordance with drop-in center schedule.
