About The Position

The City of Milwaukee is replacing PeopleSoft (FMIS / HRMS) with Workday for HR, Payroll, and Financials. The Certified Project Manager will work with various City of Milwaukee departments to ensure the implementation project avoids issues and risks. The role requires efficiency in responding to email requests, organization in documenting needs and requests, and excellent communication skills during stressful situations.

Requirements

  • Workday implementation experience (2 years’ experience)
  • Project Management experience (2 years’ experience)
  • Ability to coordinate with City employees and external vendor resources, documenting as-is business processes (3 years’ experience)
  • Schedule Teams meetings with agendas and facilitate the meetings to meet the required goals based on project deadlines (3 years’ experience)
  • PMP Certification attached at time of submission

Nice To Haves

  • Plan and document project tasks, based on project goals (2 years’ experience)
  • Identify, assess and propose solutions to risks (2 years’ experience)
  • Develop activity and resource planning, based on the Statement of Work (2 years’ experience)

Responsibilities

  • Work with the various City of Milwaukee departments to ensure the implementation project avoids issues / risks
  • Be efficient when responding to incoming email requests from the various city departments
  • Be organized when documenting their needs and requests
  • Be an excellent communicator during stressful situations
