About The Position

Verse Medical is hiring a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), DME, to help ensure durable medical equipment orders are coded and documented correctly, so patients receive equipment without delay and payors have complete, supportable claims. The role is part of the Revenue Cycle Management team and supports Verse Medical’s mission to improve coordination and access to hospital-quality care at home. The coder will own HCPCS Level II, modifier, and ICD-10-CM selection across a broad DME catalog, including CPAP, oxygen, hospital beds, enteral nutrition, mobility, and incontinence supplies. The position will run internal chart audits, manage responses to payor and DME MAC documentation requests, and strengthen audit readiness as the company grows. In partnership with the RCM team, the coder will investigate denials and write-offs, identify root causes, and improve upstream processes to reduce coding-driven denials. This is a fully remote role open to candidates anywhere in the United States. Candidates in New York City may use the Chelsea office, but onsite work is not expected.
