Certified Pharmacy Technician - Full Time / Evenings - Einstein Montgomery
About The Position
This is a full-time evening position (3p-11p) with every third or fourth weekend rotation and one summer and winter holiday. The role reports to the Oncology Pharmacy Supervisor and operates under the general direction of the Department Director and direct supervision of Oncology pharmacists. The primary responsibility is to assist in the preparation and filling of all medications necessary for the oncology service line for both inpatient and outpatient services. The technician will also support all department initiatives and daily workflow, including the maintenance of the oncology satellite and all patients.
Requirements
- High school diploma, graduate of an accredited technician training program or equivalent experience
- Pharmacy Technician Certification required

- State Board Pharmacy Technician Licensure Preferred
Responsibilities
- Assists in the preparation and filling of all medications necessary for oncology service line for inpatient and outpatient services.
- Supports all department initiatives and daily workflow/ maintenance of oncology satellite and all patients.
- Participates in the medication distribution system within TJUH.
- Prepares parenteral products using aseptic technique.
- Assures the provision of quality pharmacy services.
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
