About The Position

Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Pharmacy technicians present completed medications to the pharmacist for verification, routinely interact with patients to ensure quality service and other job duties where applicable.

Requirements

• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
• Good verbal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Direct customer and patient interactions.
• Exhibit problem-solving and organizational skill.
• Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization.
• Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or application in process upon hire and obtained within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• No Experience Required (for Pharmacy Technician role, but Certified Pharmacy Technician requires experience for certification exam).
