About The Position
The Certified Pharmacy Technician performs supportive duties to assist registered pharmacists to accurately and safely dispense and distribute medications. Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, certified technicians may perform sterile compounding, inventory control and ordering, restocking of automated cabinets, repackaging of medications, collection of medication histories, and other duties delegated to them.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Registration as a pharmacy technician with the NJ Board of Pharmacy
- Certification from a nationally recognized organization such as PTCB
- BOP registration application within 10 days of hire
- Certification within 90 days of hire
