Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program preferred.
  • Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician license required.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
  • Prior experience in a retail or clinic pharmacy setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standard practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in pharmacy software systems and basic computer applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program

  • Prior experience in a retail or clinic pharmacy setting

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process and fill prescription orders, including prescription verification, labeling, and dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
  • Maintain patient medication records and update insurance information as needed.
  • Assist patients with prescription pick-up, answering questions regarding medication availability, and providing basic guidance in compliance with regulations.
  • Manage inventory, including receiving, storing, and organizing medications and supplies.
  • Prepare and process medication orders for clinic providers, including refills and controlled substances as permitted.
  • Support medication therapy management by preparing patient information for pharmacist review.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment following all pharmacy standards and guidelines.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as filing, data entry, and managing phone communications related to pharmacy operations.
  • Assist in training new pharmacy staff and technicians, as needed.
