About The Position

Use your Pharmacy Technician expertise across inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services while supporting medication access for veterans nationwide. You'll work alongside experienced pharmacists in a collaborative pharmacy environment where variety, workflow stability, and technical excellence all play an important role in patient care. At International SOS Government Medical Services, you'll support healthcare programs that improve patient care and operational readiness across the U.S. and internationally. Founded in 1984, International SOS operates in more than 90 countries, delivering healthcare, medical assistance, emergency response, and workforce support services worldwide. You'll support a technology-enabled pharmacy operation in Charleston, South Carolina, preparing, packaging, labeling, stocking, and distributing medications that help ensure veterans receive safe, timely access to the medications they need. You'll apply your Pharmacy Technician skills across pharmacy automation, product verification, inventory management, and medication preparation in a structured, collaborative pharmacy environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current nationally recognized Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB (CPhT) or the NHA ExCPT program.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Basic typing and PC skills.
  • Must read, understand, speak, and write English fluently under the authority of U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; push or pull up to 150 lbs on a rolling cart or pallet jack; stand or sit for 8–10 hours; stoop, reach upward, and perform repetitive motion tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, package, label, process, and distribute prescription orders accurately for pharmacist verification, including work within open product areas and medication fulfillment workflows.
  • Maintain inventory by stocking shelves, rotating stock, checking expiration dates, and replenishing automated medication storage locations.
  • Operate pharmacy automation and repackaging equipment, including Autofill devices, Baker Cells, Kalish cells, A-frames, electronic scales, and related systems.
  • Use computer screens, scanning equipment, drug name, strength, and NDC information to select the correct medications and products.
  • Perform first-level preventive maintenance on pharmacy automation equipment by cleaning cells, vacuuming equipment, and completing minor adjustments as required.
  • Follow SOPs and hazardous material / hazardous waste precautions.
