HOACNY provides cancer care services, Monday through Friday, day hours at three convenient locations in East Syracuse, Syracuse and Auburn. Generous benefits package including medical, dental, life, std, ltd, 401k/pension, tuition reimbursement, convenient free parking, etc. Certified Pharmacy Technician This individual is responsible assisting in the daily activities of the Physician Dispensing department within Hematology-Oncology Associates of CNY, PC. Duties include: assist in the dispensing (compounds) commercially available drugs; assessing medication orders; assists with the drug and prior authorization process, patient assistance programs and foundation programs. Requirements

  • Organizational skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical oncology operations
  • Ability and willingness to work with potential exposure to toxic drugs and infectious patients
  • Ability to operate a computer
  • Ability to maintain records and files
  • Ability to work with precision and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous community pharmacy experience welcomed
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification is recommended
