About The Position

This role is for a Certified Pharmacy Technician in an outpatient/retail pharmacy setting at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. The ideal candidate will utilize excellent customer service skills to serve both hospital discharge patients (meds to beds) and regular customers. The pharmacy operates with current business hours of M-F, 8:30am-5pm (closed for lunch), Saturdays 10am-4pm (weekend rotation), and is closed on major holidays. This is a 32 hours/week position with Mercy Health.

Requirements

High School Degree or GED
Valid ExCPT Certification provided by the National Health Career Association or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification and registration with State Board of Pharmacy (required)
Ability to be proactive in a rapidly changing environment
Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner
Possesses problem-solving skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Requires knowledge of pharmacy terminology, medication names, and aseptic technique

Previous experience working in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion Pharmacy
