Rotating schedule with weekday shifts (8:00am–4:30pm or 9:00am–5:30pm), one weekday off every other week, and Saturday coverage every other week (9:00am–12:30pm, Kenwood). Minimum Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Degree (Required). Associate’s Degree Graduate of an approved technical, professional or vocational program or Bachelor’s Degree Graduate of an approved technical, professional or vocational program (Preferred) Up to 1 year of experience in a related field; previous pharmacy technician experience is Required. 3-4 years of Outpatient Pharmacy experience is Preferred. Experience with outpatient pharmacy dispensing systems, electronic medical records (Preferred) National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is required. Approved certification is through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and ExCPT Certification by the National Health career Association. Must be registered with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Job Overview: A Certified Pharmacy Technician I plays a vital role in supporting pharmacists by ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely preparation and distribution of medications. Their responsibilities typically include: Assisting in the dispensing of medications, including both hazardous and non-hazardous drugs, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and in compliance with state and federal regulations. Managing inventory and medication storage, ensuring proper handling and documentation. Processing prescriptions and insurance claims, maintaining accurate patient records. Providing customer service and patient support, contributing to a positive patient experience. Performing administrative tasks that support pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance.
