We are seeking a detail-oriented, strong work ethic, punctual and patient-focused Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to help manage our in-office dispensary. As an integral part of our clinical team, you will be responsible for the accurate, efficient filling of prescriptions, inventory management, claim remittance, and patient education on medications dispensed directly from our facility. This role bridges the gap between patient care and pharmacy management, ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.

Requirements

  • Valid Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification from the PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board).
  • Current, active State Pharmacy Technician Registration in good standing.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting (retail or ambulatory care experience preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in pharmaceutical terminology, medication calculations, and computer/EMR systems.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare, package, and label medications prescribed by clinic providers for in-office dispensing.
  • Manage the daily operations of the dispensary, maintaining a smooth, efficient, and organized work environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage stock replenishment, and process incoming orders to ensure no medication shortages.
  • Adhere strictly to all state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy operations (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA) and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the dispensary.
  • Greet patients, answer questions regarding their medications, educate them on frequency/application, and assist in dispensing prescriptions.
  • Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, medication dispensing cabinets, and dedicated dispensary software for data entry, prescription processing, and insurance processing.
  • Participate in inventory audits, expiry date checks, and documentation tracking.
