About The Position

Join our outpatient infusion pharmacy team at Frauenshuh Infusion Pharmacy, supporting patients receiving oncology, biologic, immunotherapy, and specialty infusion therapies. This position plays a key role in the preparation, handling, and distribution of medications while working closely with pharmacists, nurses, and providers to ensure safe and timely patient care.

Requirements

  • Must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Technician certification required. Certification as CPhT through either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
  • Two or more years (4,160+ hours) of Pharmacy Technician experience is required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet the insurability requirements relating to Park Nicollet’s motor vehicle violation criteria.
  • Five or more years (10,400+ hours) of Internal Pharmacy Technician experience is required.

  • One or more years Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, label, and distribute medications for infusion patients in a high-volume ambulatory infusion setting
  • Perform sterile compounding in compliance with USP <797> requirements
  • Prepare and handle hazardous medications in accordance with USP <800> standards and departmental policies
  • Utilize Equashield Closed System Transfer Devices (CSTDs) for hazardous drug compounding and handling
  • Support preparation of chemotherapy, biologic, immunotherapy, and supportive care medications
  • Manage medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, storage, expiration date monitoring, and waste reduction initiatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacists, nurses, providers, and clinic staff to support efficient patient care
  • Use Epic electronic medical record (EMR) and Willow Ambulatory Pharmacy systems to support daily pharmacy operations
  • Review medication work queues, print labels, document inventory activities, and assist with medication tracking throughout the preparation and dispensing process
  • Support efficient workflow management by coordinating medication preparation and delivery with nursing and provider teams
  • Utilize barcode scanning and electronic documentation systems to promote medication safety and accuracy
