Requirements
- Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Strong math skills for dosage calculations
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfort working around animals
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of veterinary medications and basic pharmacology is preferred
Responsibilities
- Carefully prepare, measure, label, and dispense veterinary-prescribed medications with accuracy and care
- Calculate proper dosages based on species, size, and condition
- Maintain detailed medication records and inventory
- Ensure pharmaceuticals are stored and handled correctly
- Serve as a trusted resource for pet owners by clearly explaining dosage instructions, storage needs, and potential side effects
- Support the veterinary team every step of the way
