About The Position
The role of the Certified Pharmacy Technician reports to the Director of Pharmacy. This position, under close supervision of a registered pharmacist, assists the pharmacist in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records as assigned within their scope of practice.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, required
- Registration with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy, required
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT), required
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferred
Responsibilities
- Manages inventory of automated dispensing cabinets
- Deliver medications to nursing stations and other patient care areas
- Refill and manage inventory of emergency kits
- Repack medications for hospital use
- Perform medication histories
- Complete required documentation to meet state and federal laws
