Certified Pharmacy Tech Part Time
About The Position
Vibra Healthcare is seeking a Part Time Pharmacy Tech to join their team at Vibra Hospital of Boise, a 40-bed Critical Care Hospital located in Boise, ID. The hospital provides acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries, often requiring critical care for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, it offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where employees can get to know patients and their families.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of employment required.
- Valid driver’s license necessary in states with multiple facilities requiring delivering to sites.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Nice To Haves
- Six (6) months experience in a hospital pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of technical and clerical duties related to the hospital drug distribution system under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Fill physician orders by preparing and distributing medications, including intravenous admixtures and extemporaneous drug preparations.
- Maintain the drug inventory.
- Maintain confidential patient records.
- May participate in the hospital Antibiotic Stewardship Program with a focus on patient safety and public health.
