About The Position

The City of Indianola is seeking a Certified Personal Trainer to assist members in developing realistic, attainable goals and continually modifying training objectives. This role involves developing individualized, goal-oriented fitness plans and conducting personal training sessions based on participant goals and abilities. The trainer will instruct members on proper form, technique, and execution of exercises for optimal performance and results. This is a part-time, non-union classified position with a starting salary of $19.00/hour. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a post-offer drug screening and background check. Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent
• Graduation from a college or university with a bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field or certification from a National Accreditation Association, IE: NASM, ACE, AFAA, ASCM, ISSA.
• One year experience in a wellness/recreation setting or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities preferred.
• Must be available to work at night and weekends.
