About The Position

We Care Daily Clinics (WCDC) is a modern facility providing addiction treatment in Auburn, WA. WCDC aims to restore hope and purpose for individuals battling opioid use through a holistic, evidence-based approach, removing barriers and prioritizing patient-centered care. As an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) facility, WCDC utilizes FDA-approved medication alongside behavioral health counseling, creating personalized recovery pathways in a supportive and safe environment. Services include recovery support, planned patient transportation, and family/social support.

Requirements

  • WA State Certified Peer Support Specialist (Trainee) credential (required)
  • CPC Certification
  • Self-identified as a person in recovery from a mental health and/or substance use condition and/or have a family member who has experienced mental health and/or substance use condition
  • Commitment to recovery values including self-determination, peer support, and empowerment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and model professional boundaries

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in clinic, outreach, housing, or group settings
  • Familiarity with harm reduction and trauma-informed care principles
  • Working as a peer support specialist 1000 hours

Responsibilities

  • Build recovery-oriented relationships using mutual respect, trust, and lived experience
  • Support members in articulating personal goals for recovery and wellness
  • Provide trauma-informed, culturally relevant, and non-judgmental peer support
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate recovery groups, education sessions, or engagement activities
  • Offer harm-reduction resources, information, and linkage to services
  • Document services provided in a timely, accurate, and ethical manner
  • Maintain peer role boundaries and uphold the DOH Code of Ethics for Certified Peer Counselors
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and represent the voice of lived experience
  • Advocate for the member internally and externally
