About The Position

JEVS Human Services is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS). The role empowers and motivates people to work toward recovery, develop and achieve goals, and move toward meeting life goals. The position is part-time, at 17 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals and groups to create action plans for achieving recovery goals.
• Provide activities, education, and skill teaching that support recovery and progress toward goals.
• Promote participants’ self-advocacy skills.
• Promote a peer support culture within the program.
• Give presentations about the CPS role to agency members, community resource liaisons, and family members.
