Provides supportive peer counseling and advocacy to adult consumers receiving services in the through this mobile crisis program. Demonstrates knowledge of mental illness and the services available in the community. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the needs of the consumers served. He or she must be able to assess and interpret data about the consumer’s status in order to identify each consumer’s needs and provide the appropriate care, including age-related care, needed by the consumer group. Applicants must hold one of the following active certifications to be considered for this role: Certified Peer Specialist (CPS), Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS), or Certified Family Recovery Specialist (CRFS). Required to report to work in inclement weather. PT staff must work a minimum of four 4-hour shifts per month including 2 major holidays (New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas) annually. Legacy operates the State-designated Crisis Intervention Program for Chester County, providing evaluations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis or posing a danger to self, others, or property. Hours: Part Time; various shifts available. $1.00 shift differential for hours worked on weekends and 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. weekdays.
