About The Position

The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital. This role is 100% FTE and involves rotating weekends and holidays, with shifts from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Additional compensation may include evening, night, and weekend shift differentials, overtime, and on-call pay. Requirements

  • Completed a Substance Recovery Program or currently involved in a Recovery Program.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current, valid driver’s license issued by the individual’s state of residence.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and/or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS).
  • If not CPRS certified, SAH will provide training. CPRS or CADC must be obtained within twenty eight (28) months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Share relevant personal experience with chemical addiction in a therapeutic manner with patients.
  • Provide support and guidance to patients in recovery programs.
