About The Position

The Certified Pedorthist will be responsible for providing comprehensive pedorthic services. This includes evaluating patients, fitting therapeutic footwear and orthoses, making necessary modifications, and providing follow-up care. The role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and pedorthic materials. The Pedorthist will also be responsible for patient education, clinical documentation, and collaborating with other healthcare providers to deliver on-site patient care in Champaign.

Requirements

• Current American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC) certification as a Certified Pedorthist.
• Active Illinois pedorthist license, or eligibility to obtain the license before performing services that require Illinois licensure.
• Demonstrated competence in pedorthic evaluation, fitting, modification, and follow-up care.
• Working knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, therapeutic footwear, foot orthoses, and pedorthic materials.
• Strong communication, patient education, and clinical documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with healthcare providers and provide on-site patient care in Champaign.

Nice To Haves

• Previous clinical experience in pedorthics.
• Experience in an orthotics and prosthetics clinic, rehabilitation setting, or other multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with reimbursement documentation and referral relationship development.

Responsibilities
