Banner University Medical Center is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join our Float Pool Unit. As a Certified Patient Care Assistant at Banner University Medical Center, you will join a Magnet-designated facility, Academic Medical Center, Level I Trauma Center, and Designated Stroke Center. Candidates must have recent acute care experience within the last year to be considered for this role; hospital experience is preferred. During your shift, you will have the opportunity to float to multiple units across Banner University Medical Center, including: Trauma Surgical ICU; Cardiovascular ICU; Neuro ICU; Medical-Surgical ICU; Neuro Trauma PCU; Cardiovascular PCU; Medical-Surgical units; Outpatient Observation Unit; PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit); Emergency Department; Women and Infant Services (WIS); Rehabilitation; and Behavioral Health. The ideal candidate will hold a current CNA/LNA license and have worked as a CNA/LNA within an acute care setting in the past year. The float pool offers minimal onboarding and training, so candidates must be confident in their nursing skills, highly adaptable, and able to quickly step into new environments with a high level of competence. This is a part time day shift position working from 6am-6:30pm Weekend rotations are required. Enjoy a $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18% night shift differential when applicable. POSITION SUMMARY This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
