About The Position

Vancouver Clinic is hiring a Certified Optician to join our Ophthalmology team. In this patient-facing role, you will fit and adjust glasses and other eyewear based on each patient’s prescription, lifestyle, and individual needs. You will ensure orders are received and dispensed as prescribed, teach patients how to properly wear and care for their new eyewear, and adjust or repair their current frames. Our ideal candidate has experience in an optical environment, delivers outstanding customer service, and can manage multiple priorities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
ABO certification required
Must obtain WA State Optician Apprentice credential
Ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas is an essential function of all positions at the Clinic.
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of HIPAA, optical terminology, frame styles, and lens material options is preferred.
Experience in an optical environment
Delivers outstanding customer service
Can manage multiple priorities.
