Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and compassionate PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping residents achieve their fullest potential while collaborating with a skilled team of therapists and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited education course in occupational therapy
  • Licensed OT in the state the facility is located in
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A passion for helping others thrive!

Nice To Haves

  • Long term care and EMR experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in SNF setting is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide top-notch therapy to residents, helping them communicate better and improve their quality of life
  • Work with a diverse range of rehab patients and rehab needs
  • Collaborate with a fun and supportive interdisciplinary team
  • Deliver personalized treatment plans in a welcoming, community-centered environment
  • Willing to work weekends as needed.
  • Directly supervises COTA staff.
  • Indirectly supervises other therapy and facility staff.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company and facility policies, practices, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Indirect supervisor of nurse, program, activity and other assistants as their job functions relate to resident care.
  • Must consistently use discretion and independent judgment.
