About The Position

Carolina Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their team. This role focuses on providing integrated care for children from birth through age 21, emphasizing collaboration, professional development, and a supportive work environment. The COTA will treat children with diverse needs, helping them improve participation in daily life activities through evidence-based interventions. The position offers protected time for planning and documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and flexible practice settings.

Requirements

  • Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in North Carolina.
  • Value collaboration, continued learning, and child- and family-centered care.
  • 1+ years of experience preferred (strong pediatric candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply).

Responsibilities

  • Treat children with a wide range of developmental, sensory, and motor-based needs.
  • Utilize engaging, evidence-based interventions to help children participate more fully in everyday life, including play, learning, self-care, sensory processing, and motor development.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (OTs, PTs, SLPs, Psychology, and Behavioral Health) to share ideas, solve problems, and support one another.
  • Engage in protected time for planning, documentation, and collaboration.
  • Utilize customizable templates, AI-assisted tools, and reasonable expectations for documentation and productivity.
