This position is responsible for assisting the Occupational Therapist in providing occupational therapy services to residents. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will help in evaluating residents' daily living skills, developing and implementing treatment plans, and documenting progress. The role involves direct patient care, administrative tasks related to therapy services, and participation in staff development and resident care conferences. The COTA will work collaboratively with the Occupational Therapist, other healthcare professionals, residents, and their families to ensure optimal resident outcomes and adherence to facility policies and procedures.
