About The Position

The COTA will work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide quality occupational therapy services to residents. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping older adults maintain and improve their independence, functional abilities, and quality of life.

Requirements

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Wisconsin licensure or eligibility for Wisconsin licensure.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing person-centered care.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or senior care is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, functional mobility, and therapeutic activities.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and document resident progress.
  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Promote resident safety, independence, dignity, and quality of life.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, caregivers, and members of the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
