About The Position
We are currently offering temporary assignment opportunities for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with flexible terms of 3, 6, 9, or 12 months, allowing you to choose an opportunity that fits your lifestyle and career goals. This role supports a skilled nursing facility in Eugene, Oregon, and offers a supportive team, strong leadership, and a resident-centered therapy environment. The position is part of an in-house therapy team, focusing on patient care rather than productivity pressure.
Requirements
- Current Oregon Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving ability and clinical judgment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with facility staff and residents
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or post-acute experience preferred, but not required
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans to help residents achieve their goals
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and activities of daily living
- Teach and support use of adaptive equipment to promote independence
- Facilitate therapeutic activities that improve function and engagement
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support resident progress
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
- Provide patient-centered care in a skilled nursing setting
