About The Position

Ascend Rehab Services Inc. is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their pediatric outpatient clinic in Union City, CA. The role involves working alongside experienced Occupational Therapists and an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality, family-centered therapy to children with a wide range of developmental, sensory, orthopedic, neurological, and motor needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping children reach their fullest potential in a collaborative clinic environment and has an active California COTA license. Requirements

  • Current California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
  • Pediatric experience preferred (fieldwork or professional experience welcomed).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for working with children and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy treatment under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve fine motor, sensory processing, self-help, visual-motor, and functional skills.
  • Collaborate with OTs, Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, and families to support each child's progress.
  • Document treatment sessions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a positive, engaging, and therapeutic clinic environment.
