About The Position
The Arc Madison Cortland is looking for a motivated individual to join their team. This individual's time would be split evenly between Madison and Cortland counties. The role involves providing services under the direct supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. The Arc Madison Cortland is a non-profit agency dedicated to supporting people with special needs and helping them achieve their full potential within the community.
Requirements
- Certified occupational therapy assistant with appropriate NYS license/eligibility.
- Valid NYS driver’s license with approved driving history.
Responsibilities
- Assist in providing occupational therapy for individuals evaluated by the occupational therapist and in conjunction with OT treatment plan
- Follow the treatment plan established by the OT and approved by individual's physician
- Work in conjunction with the individual's physician and therapist in course of treatment.
- Educate/train ancillary staff members on treatment plan
- Completes all necessary documentation and billing forms on a daily basis as required.
- Provides therapy in functional, prevocational, vocational, homemaking skills, and activities of daily living.
