About The Position

Stern at Home Therapy is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their growing team in the Bronx, NY. The role involves providing one-on-one occupational therapy services in patients' homes to help older adults improve their independence, safety, and quality of life. This position requires collaboration with experienced Occupational Therapists and offers flexibility in managing one's schedule while being supported by an experienced clinical team.

Requirements

• Current New York Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Bronx

Nice To Haves

• Home health experience is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Help patients improve their ability to perform activities of daily living safely and independently.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive techniques, and home safety.
• Accurately document patient progress using our electronic medical record system.
• Communicate regularly with supervising OTs and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Travel between patient homes within your designated Bronx coverage area.
