Occupational Therapy Assistant
About The Position
PruittHealth is seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to help patients improve functional abilities, increase independence with daily activities, and enhance their overall quality of life. The role is with PruittHealth - North Augusta, a provider of post-acute care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and therapy services. The COTA implements treatment plans under Occupational Therapist supervision and contributes to patient care and interdisciplinary treatment goals. The position is full-time and offers compensation up to $100,000 annually, based on experience, schedule, and location.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Foreign-trained applicants must possess credentials deemed substantially equivalent by the applicable credentialing organization.

Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under OT supervision.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and functional tasks.
- Guide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve independence.
- Observe and report patient progress to the Occupational Therapist.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation.
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment.
- Support interdisciplinary care planning and treatment goals.
