About The Position
PruittHealth - Brevard is seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to help patients improve functional abilities, increase independence with daily activities, and enhance their quality of life. The COTA implements occupational therapy treatment plans under OT supervision and supports patient care in a collaborative, clinically focused environment. The role is PRN and is located at 300 Morris Road, Brevard, NC 28712. Compensation is described as up to $100,000 annually, based on experience, schedule, and location.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Foreign-trained applicants must possess credentials deemed substantially equivalent by the applicable credentialing organization.

- Experience in rehabilitation or post-acute care is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under OT supervision.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and functional tasks.
- Guide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve independence.
- Observe and report patient progress to the Occupational Therapist.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation.
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment.
- Support interdisciplinary care planning and treatment goals.
