About The Position

The Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the direction of Occupational Therapists to plan, implement, or administer programs that restore or enhance performance in individuals with functional impairments. This role assists in providing rehabilitative services to persons with mental, physical, emotional, or developmental impairments. This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills. As a valued member of our in-house team, not a contracted service, you support residents on their journey toward greater independence. You bring patience, compassion, and a collaborative spirit. You’re adaptable, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping others thrive in their daily lives.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistance program
  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Ohio
  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Completing and maintaining patient records, including evaluating and detailing resident progress
  • Planning, organizing, and conducting occupational therapy progress
  • Testing and evaluating residents' physical and mental abilities and analyzing medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals for residents
  • Planning and implementing programs and social activities to help patients learn skills and adjust to handicaps
