About The Position
Boswell Transitional Care of Cascadia is looking for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join their team of dedicated healthcare professionals. This is a Full Time position in Sun City, Arizona, within a 115-bed facility that features two therapy gyms and an in-house therapy team. The role emphasizes fun, flexibility, and creating meaningful change in patients' lives and the subacute rehab world. The position offers clinical ownership and flexibility, encouraging team members to implement patient-centered programs and bring new ideas to support patient care and departmental success. The role is supported by 2+ rehab techs.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
- Current COTA license required
- Current CPR certification required
- Current Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
Nice To Haves
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administers a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the resident’s/patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of a physician.
- Assists patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises outlined in a treatment plan developed in collaboration with an occupational therapist.
- Demonstrates and articulates sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation and monitoring of resident’s/patient's progress.
- Assists in the instruction of residents/patients and families in home programs, basic living skills and the care and use of adaptive equipment.
- Punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
