Symbria is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Team Lead to join our employee-owned team at in our skilled nursing facility, St. Elizabeth’s Home in Janesville, WI. Requirements
- Be a graduate of an accredited school for therapy.
- Hold a valid or pending state license.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy assistant services to the geriatric population in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) in accordance with the established plan of care.
- Collaborate closely with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to help residents achieve their functional goals and maximize independence.
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining productivity and documentation standards.
- Serve as the day-to-day Team Lead for the therapy department, supporting clinical operations and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Assist the Program Manager with daily administrative and operational responsibilities, including coordinating workflow, communicating departmental updates, and supporting scheduling needs.
- Act as a resource and mentor for therapy team members, promoting teamwork, engagement, and best practices.
- Help facilitate communication between therapists, nursing, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
- Support onboarding and ongoing development of new team members, as appropriate.
- Assist with maintaining compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards.
- Participate in department meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and other projects that support operational excellence.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff while contributing to a culture of compassion, accountability, and exceptional customer service.
- Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
- Maintain productivity standards and complete required documentation.
- Help patients achieve critical outcomes while acting as a trusted partner to the community you serve.
