About The Position

Bradenton Rehabilitation Hospital, opening in May 2026, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) PRN to join their team. The hospital features 60 private patient rooms and two state-of-the-art rehabilitation therapy gyms. The COTA will perform components of occupational therapy procedures under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics with rehabilitation diagnoses or conditions requiring rehabilitation. The role involves assisting patients in achieving maximum functional performance, adapting to their capabilities, and documenting patient responses and treatment outcomes for the Occupational Therapist.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames.

Nice To Haves

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs components of occupational therapy procedures and related tasks under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist patients in achieving his/her maximum functional performance while learning to live within his/her capabilities.
• Record patient’s responses to treatment and report treatment outcomes to the Occupational Therapist.
