Position: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Pay Range: $40.00–$55.00/hr Status: Full-Time Coverage Area: Coachella Valley What You’ll Do The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) will provide high‑quality therapy services under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist (OT), supporting patients in regaining independence and improving daily function. Assist in the ongoing assessment of the patient’s functional abilities, including muscle strength, endurance, visual‑motor coordination, communication skills, self‑care abilities, and work capacity, as delegated by the OT Participate in evaluating the home environment for potential safety risks or barriers to patient independence, following direction from the OT Support the OT in teaching and retraining patients in daily living activities that may have been lost due to illness, injury, or decline Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and documentation; report any significant changes in patient condition to the supervising OT Follow and implement the established treatment plan and therapeutic goals created by the OT Document patient responses to treatment, noting progress toward therapy goals Maintain effective communication with the care team to ensure coordinated, patient‑centered care Participate in case conferences, in‑service trainings, and team meetings as required by organizational policy Identify and report patient or caregiver needs for additional home care services Collaborate with the supervising OT to assist in making appropriate referrals Educate and instruct patients, families, caregivers, and internal staff on elements of the treatment plan as delegated by the OT
