Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Home Health
About The Position
Seaport Scripps Home Health is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide home health therapy services to patients in South Inland San Diego County. The COTA works under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist and helps patients regain independence with daily activities. The role includes evaluating home environments for safety and accessibility, documenting patient progress, coordinating care with the team, and educating patients and caregivers about treatment plans. Seaport Scripps Home Health is a Scripps Health joint venture and part of the Pennant Group. Requirements
- Active California COTA license.
- Minimum one year of clinical experience as a COTA.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy services under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist.
- Assist patients in regaining independence with daily activities.
- Evaluate home environments for safety and accessibility.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans.
