About The Position

AB Staffing is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA – Float) to support multiple school locations in the Crestwood, IL area for the 2025–2026 school year. This school-based role follows the academic calendar and offers consistent weekday hours with the flexibility and variety of floating between campuses. The position is full-time, 32.5 hours per week, for the full 2025-2026 school year, serving K-12 students across multiple school sites. Caseload, mileage expectations, and school placements will be discussed prior to offer to ensure a great fit.

Requirements

Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Active Illinois COTA License
Comfortable floating between multiple school sites
BLS/CPR certification
Ability to meet standard pre-employment requirements

Nice To Haves

School-based or pediatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Provide direct therapy services to students per IEP goals
Support students’ functional, fine motor, sensory, and school participation skills
Collaborate with teachers, OTs, and multidisciplinary teams
Travel between assigned school buildings as needed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
Promote safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments
