About The Position
Peninsula Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and motivated PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced therapists in a collaborative skilled nursing environment dedicated to helping residents achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life. The Staff Occupational Therapy Assistant assists the Occupational Therapist with resident-related activities and provides direct resident care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Requirements
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the State of California.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or post-acute setting is preferred but not required.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Occupational Therapist with resident-related activities.
- Provides direct resident care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
