Requirements
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification
- Active COTA license in the state of Indiana
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative rehabilitation team
Responsibilities
- Assist with implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to improve residents' strength, coordination, mobility, and ability to perform daily activities
- Monitor and document resident progress and communicate changes with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team
- Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies to promote continued progress and independence
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow all clinical, facility, and regulatory standards
