About The Position
Are you a licensed COTA who enjoys hands-on patient care and the flexibility of working in the community? @Home Therapy is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide home-based occupational therapy services to adult patients in Astoria. In this role, you will work under the direction of a supervising Occupational Therapist and help patients practice the skills they need to manage everyday life more safely and independently.
Requirements
- Active New York State COTA license.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently in a home-based setting.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with adult or geriatric patients is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out treatment programs established by the supervising OT.
- Assisting patients with functional activities and daily routines.
- Reinforcing therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques.
- Observing patient performance and reporting changes or concerns.
- Supporting caregivers with therapy recommendations.
- Completing accurate visit documentation.
