Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Floater (Meadow Brook & Mt. Olympus)
About The Position
Independence Rehab is actively seeking a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team at Meadow Brook Nursing & Rehab and Mount Olympus Nursing & Rehab in Salt Lake City. These facilities are less than 10 minutes apart. You will split time between both facilities on a regular basis. As a COTA in a skilled nursing setting, you'll work collaboratively with the therapy team to support residents through rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term care-helping them achieve meaningful progress and improved quality of life.
Requirements
- Current Utah Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license in good standing
- Associate degree from an accredited OTA program
- Organized, self-motivated, and patient-focused
- Passion for working with the geriatric population
Nice To Haves
- One year of SNF experience preferred, but newer clinicians with strong interest in geriatrics are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Treat a diverse caseload, including occasional clinically complex patients
- Perform and assist with all types of transfers
- Provide adaptive ADL retraining and functional task practice
- Collaborate closely with the evaluating OT and interdisciplinary care team
