Requirements

Associate's degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy.
Technical training in the use of occupational therapy equipment used in the inpatient and/or outpatient settings, per assigned job duties.
Current certification in cardio‑pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for all age groups.
2 years of licensed clinical experience.
Internal candidate must attain 3.25 PE (prior year) and no disciplinary action on file.

Nice To Haves

Current knowledge of orthopedics, neurology, and medical/surgical problems associated with the adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

Performing occupational therapy programs and treatments as directed by the occupational therapist for inpatient & outpatient pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.
Providing employee and patient educational programs as directed.
Patient and family education, exercising courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service.
