About The Position
Ascension at Home, Together with Compassus, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to work one-on-one with patients in their homes. The role involves empowering patients to live safely and productively in their homes, helping them complete daily tasks, and adapting their environment, modifying tasks, and using equipment to improve participation in daily activities and enhance their quality of life.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current State Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Valid Driver’s License
- Current CPR
- Negative TB screen and Hepatitis consent/declination
- One year experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in an acute care setting
- Therapy skills as set forth in the Therapy Practice Act and other regulatory agencies
- Good interpersonal skills
Responsibilities

- Help patients and families adapt their environment, modify tasks, and use equipment to improve participation in daily activities and improve quality of life.
