About The Position

Ascension at Home, Together with Compassus, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide care in patients' homes. This role focuses on empowering patients to live safely and productively in their homes by helping them adapt their environment, modify tasks, and use equipment to improve their participation in daily activities and overall quality of life. The position offers flexible scheduling and a supportive, family-focused culture.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current State Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
• Valid Driver’s License
• Current CPR
• Negative TB screen and Hepatitis consent/declination
• One year experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in an acute care setting
• Knowledge and Skills: Therapy skills as set forth in the Therapy Practice Act and other regulatory agencies
• Good interpersonal skills

• Work one-on-one with patients in their homes.
• Empower patients to live safely and productively in their home.
• Help patients complete the tasks they want and need to do every day.
• Assist patients and families in adapting their environment, modifying tasks, and using equipment to improve participation in daily activities and improve quality of life.
