Part-time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
About The Position
Tall Oaks Assisted Living in Reston, VA, is seeking a passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their dynamic therapy team. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule, working any 3 days per week for a total of 15-20 hours per week. Tall Oaks Assisted Living is a senior living community offering assisted living, memory care, and rehabilitation services. They focus on personalized care and resident dignity, providing a collaborative, patient-centered environment with on-site clinical services. Functional Pathways, the employer, has 30 years of experience providing clinical services and offers therapists the opportunity to work with evidence-based programs across the full continuum of care. Their approach addresses various patient needs and incorporates innovative treatments. Therapists receive training and certification in specialty programs, with company-paid CEUs through MedBridge available to both full-time and part-time team members.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Certification and licensure requirements as established by state and national board associations.
- Active state license
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current working knowledge of Functional Pathways policies and procedures
- Completion of all required screenings, certifications, and licensure.
Responsibilities
- Implement the plan of care established by the OTR/L and physician, delivering excellence in quality of care.
