The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA assists patients in developing, recovering, and improving the skills necessary for daily living and functional independence. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting patient progress, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The COTA provides care consistent with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. Other duties as assigned.
